Witness: Marlene Catterall

Under examination by Commission Counsel Marc David, Marlene Catterall (Member of Parliament for Ottawa West–Nepean) recounts her involvement in Mr. Arar’s case beginning in September 2002. She speaks at length about arrangements for her trip to Syria in April 2003 to advocate on Mr. Arar’s behalf, including her unsuccessful attempt to obtain a letter from Canadian security services clearing Mr. Arar’s name.
