Commission of Inquiry into the Sponsorship Program and Advertising Activities

Witness: Charles Guité

The Commission continues to hear testimony from Charles (Chuck) Guité (former Director General of the Advertising and Public Opinion Research Sector (APORS) and Executive Director of the Communication Coordination Services Branch (CCSB) at Public Works and Government Services Canada). Commission Counsel Bernard Roy continues direct examination of Mr. Guité with questions focusing on problems with contracts awarded to Yvon Desrochers, a sponsorship of the Ottawa Senators managed by Gosselin Communication, the role of Jean Carle in selecting promotional items such as golf balls for purchase, and government sponsorship of the 1998 Montreal Grand Prix.
