Commission of Inquiry into the Sponsorship Program and Advertising Activities

Witness: Jean Lafleur

Associate Commission Counsel Guy Cournoyer concludes direct examination of Jean Lafleur (the former owner of Jean Lafleur Communication Marketing). Guy Pratte (Counsel for Jean Pelletier) and Pierre Fournier (Counsel for Alfonso Gagliano) conduct brief cross-examinations. During cross-examination by Sylvain Lussier (on behalf of the Attorney General of Canada), Mr. Lafleur is asked about invoicing practices, the negotiation of commissions with Charles Guité, orders for promotional items such as golf balls, and Mr. Lafleur’s relationship with Robert-Guy Scully. There is a brief re-examination by Mr. Cournoyer.
