Following a discussion about the availability of documents and evidence, Guy Pratte (Counsel for Jean Pelletier) begins cross-examination of a panel of employees of Public Works and Government Services Canada, including I. David Marshall (Deputy Minister), Yvette Aloïsi (Assistant Deputy Minister, Corporate Services, Human Resources and Communications), Myra Conway (Director General, Financial Operations), George A. Butts (Acting Director General for the Acquisitions Policy, Risk, Integrity and Strategic Management Directorate, Acquisitions Branch), and Gerry Thom (Director of Classification, Compensation and Business Systems, Corporate Services, Human Resources and Communications Branch). Mr. Marshall speaks at length about the selection of events for sponsorship and draft sponsorship guidelines.
