Canadian Supreme Court Justice Rosalie Abella speaks at the 2nd annual David Makow Lecture on Tolerance and Intolerance hosted by the University of Ottawa, January 24, 2008. David Makow is a Polish Holocaust survivor and author of “Dangerous Luck: Memories of a Hunted Life,” a non-fiction account of his experiences during World War II. Mr. Makow has spent much of his life working with the National Research Council in Ottawa.

In her remarks, Ms. Abella, a specialist in human rights law, discusses the evolution of human rights protection in Canada, the United States, and beyond.
