Podium - Phil Fontaine


Phil Fontaine (National Chief of the Assembly of First Nations) delivers an address at the 2008 Canadian Bar Association Canadian Legal Conference and Expo, Quebec City, Que., August 19, 2008.

In his address, Mr. Fontaine discusses the ongoing struggle of Canada’s Aboriginal Peoples to define their constitutional status. He also speaks about efforts made to establish a mutually beneficial relationship between Aboriginal Peoples and the various levels of Canadian government. After speaking, Mr. Fontaine takes questions from conference attendees.
