Paul Cellucci (former American ambassador to Canada) delivers one of the keynote speeches at the 7th annual conference on foreign policy and defence issues organized by the Canadian Defence & Foreign Affairs Institute, Ottawa, Ont., October 27, 2008. This year’s conference explores four key areas of cross-border relations, including territorial and resource issues, multilateral and unilateral relations and spheres of influence, North American defence issues, and border issues such as cross-border business, immigration, and intellectual property rights. In his speech, Mr. Cellucci discusses the United States election and how the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) would be targeted by a Democratic majority, which would change the relationship between the U.S. and Canada. After speaking, Mr. Cellucci fields questions from conference attendees.
