Paleobotanist James Basinger presents a lecture entitled “Whither the Tropical Arctic? From Greenhouse to Icehouse,” at the Canadian Museum of Civilization, Gatineau, Que., October 30, 2008.
Dr. Basinger discusses how fossil forests discovered in Canada’s High Arctic can provide insight into the process of climate change and into the potential effects of global warming. After speaking, Dr. Basinger answers questions from audience members.
