Podium - Marjorie Griffen Cohen

Marjorie Griffin Cohen (professor, Simon Fraser University) gives a speech entitled “Response to the Recession: Planning for the Future” at the Breakfast on the Hill Lecture Series, Ottawa, Ont., February 10, 2009. The speech explores a people-centered approach to dealing with the recession.

After speaking, Ms. Cohen answers questions from lecture attendees. Among those in attendance are Jack Harris (NDP MP), Claude Bachand (Bloc Québécois), and Wilfred Moore (Liberal senator).

Organized by the Canadian Federation for the Humanities and Social Sciences and held six times a year, the Breakfast on the Hill Lecture Series brings together parliamentarians, government officials, the media and the general public to hear important research on pertinent issues.
