In Sarnia, in south-western Ontario, Prime Minister Stephen Harper announces a federal funding to upgrade the Blue Water Bridge, a major crossing point into the United States. Later, Mr. Harper responds to questions from reporters.

In Winnipeg, Liberal Party leader Michael Ignatieff addresses the Manitoba Chamber of Commerce.
