Public Record - 2007 Annual CMA Meeting

The Canadian Medical Association (CMA) holds its 140th annual meeting, entitled “Together in Partnership: The Future of Care,” in Vancouver, B.C., August 19–22, 2007.

In the August 20th opening session, Dr. Louise Cloutier (candidate for chair of the CMA board of directors) presents the Directors Business and Stewardship Report.

Dr. Colin McMillan, outgoing CMA president, outlines his observations on Canada’s healthcare system. CMA president Dr. Brian Day addresses audience members and commences delegate motions concerning the “Funding of the Continuum of Care,” a strategic action plan proposing improvements to Canadian healthcare.
