L'École d'été de l'Institut du Nouveau Monde held its fourth edition of a conference that brought together more than 800 youth from across Quebec and around the world, Montreal, August 22–25, 2007. Among the issues discussed were climate change, reasonable accommodations and the place of youth in the world.

This August 24th session opened up the debate surrounding "reasonable accommodation" in Quebec. Charles Taylor and Gérard Bouchard, co-chairs of "The Commission on Accommodation Practices Related to Cultural Differences." spoke at this session.
