Public Record - 2007 École d'été de l'Institut du Nouveau Monde Conference (Part 2 of 2)


L'École d'été de l'Institut du Nouveau Monde held its fourth edition of a conference that brought together more than 800 youth from across Quebec and around the world, Montreal, August 22–25, 2007. Among the issues discussed were climate change, reasonable accommodations and the place of youth in the world.

This August 25th session examined the place of smaller autonomous nations in the age of globalization and featured Marie Arena (Minister-President of the French Community of Belgium), Miren Azkarate (spokesperson and Minister of Culture for the Basque Autonomous Community in Spain), Félix Marti (honorary president of the Centre UNESCO de Catalunya), and George Reid (Presiding Officer of the Scottish Legislative Assembly).
