Debate on Electoral Reform in Ontario
On September 28, 2007, the Centre for the Study of Democracy at Queen's University organized a debate on Ontario's Referendum on Electoral Reform. Moderated by Peter MacLeod (research director at the Centre for the Study of Democracy), National Post political affairs columnist Andrew Coyne and former Ontario minister Marilyn Churley make the case for the Mixed Member Proportional system proposed by the Citizens’ Assembly. Toronto Sun Queen's Park columnist Christina Blizzard and former Ontario minister Charles Harnick defend Ontario's existing First-Past-The-Post electoral system.
