The Revealed “I”
The University of Ottawa hosts “The Revealed ‘I’,” a conference exploring the relationship between privacy and identity online, October 25–27, 2007. This October 27th session, entitled “marketed I,” features a panel discussion and a follow-up debate about the use of behavioural marketing on the Internet and its implications for privacy and identity. The speakers are Mike Zaneis (vice-president of the Public Policy Interactive Advertising Bureau) and Jeffrey Chester (executive director of the Center for Digital Democracy). After presenting their arguments, the speakers field questions from conference attendees.
