The Atlantic Treaty Association (ATA) hosts its 53rd General Assembly, Ottawa, Ont., October 31–November 3, 2007. The theme of this year’s general assembly is “NATO and Global Partners: a comprehensive approach to rebuilding Afghanistan and other challenges.”
In this November 1st session, panellists discuss issues such as NATO’s co-operation with Russia and Israel, in addition to other co-operative approaches to conflict management. The panellists are Craig Corl (senior fellow at the Center for Naval Analyses in Alexandria, Virginia), Sergey Alexeevich Ryabkov (director of the Department of European Cooperation, Ministry of Foreign Affairs), and Tommy Steiner (executive secretary of the Atlantic Forum of Israel). After speaking, panellists field questions from audience members.
