Public Record - Debating the Manley Report on Afghanistan

On February 5, 2008, a public forum is held at the University of Ottawa to discuss the diverse views contained in the Manley Independent Panel recommendations on the development-reconstruction dimension of Canada’s role in Afghanistan.

The forum features Omar Samad (Afghanistan's Ambassador to Canada), Keith Martin (Liberal MP), Alexa McDonough (NDP MP), Peter Goold (president and CEO of Canadian International Council), Jean Daudelin (professor at Carleton University), Steve Cornish (senior manager of the CARE Afghanistan program), Col. (ret'd) Mike Capstick (ex-Commander of Strategic Advisory Team, Kabul) and Nipa Banerjee (professor at the University of Ottawa).
