The Conference of Defence Associations Institute (CDAI) hosts its 24th annual seminar, Ottawa, Ont., February 21, 2008. This year’s conference theme is “Security and Prosperity Imperatives: Canada’s National Security Interests in a Changing World.”

In this seminar session, a panel of national security experts present speeches on Canada’s military and aid role in Afghanistan. The speakers are David Mulroney (deputy minister in the Privy Council Office responsible for the Afghanistan Task Force), Lieutenant-General Michel Gauthier (commander of the Canadian Expeditionary Force Command), Stephen Wallace (vice-president of the Afghanistan Task Force), and Mel Cappe (president of the Institute for Research on Public Policy). After speaking, panellists field questions from audience members.
