Lieutenant Governor Steven L. Point opens the fourth session of the 38th Parliament of British Columbia, Victoria, B.C., February 12, 2008.

The speech sets the political agenda for Premier Gordon Campbell's Liberal government outlines and includes: new measures to create safe, secure communities, banning trans fats from schools and restaurants, increased medical residency spaces for doctors and new utility rate structures that will allow people to choose to save money by making PowerSmart choices.
