Public Record - 2008 FCM Sustainable Communities Conference


The Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM) holds its 5th national conference on sustainable community development, Ottawa, Ont., February 14–16, 2008. The 2008 conference brings together municipal leaders, speakers, and experts, and focuses on the theme “Moving Innovation into Practice.”

The opening ceremony on February 14th features speeches by Lawrence Cannon, (Minister of Transport, Infrastructure, and Communities), Karen Liebovici (chair, FCM’s Green Municipal Fund), Berry Vrbanovic (FCM vice-president at large), and Rod Bryden (president and CEO, Plasco Energy Group). Brock Carlton (CEO, FCM) makes opening remarks.
