Public Record - Order of Canada Investiture Ceremony – February 2008


Order of Canada investiture ceremony at Rideau Hall, Ottawa, Ont., February 22, 2008. The ceremony honours distinguished Canadians for their outstanding achievements and service to the country.

Governor General Michaëlle Jean makes opening remarks and appoints 37 Canadians to the Order. Among the recipients are Pamela Wallin (senior advisor on Canada–U.S. relations to the President of the Americas Society and the Council of the Americas in New York) and former prime minister Jean Chrétien.
