The Conference of Defence Associations Institute (CDAI) hosts its 24th annual seminar, Ottawa, Ont., February 21, 2008. This year’s conference theme is “Security and Prosperity Imperatives: Canada’s National Security Interests in a Changing World.”

In this panel session, speakers discuss Canada’s level of preparedness in countering and controlling potential terrorist threats to national security. The speakers are John Scott Cowan (principal of the Royal Military College of Canada), Joseph Cirincione (vice-president for national security and international policy at the Center for American Progress), and Piotr Dutkiewicz (political science professor at Carleton University). After speaking, panellists field questions from audience members.
