Public Record - Strong Women, Strong World

The Library and Archives Canada Forum on Canadian Democracy and Status of Women Canada presents an International Women's Day event, entitled “Strong Women, Strong World,” Ottawa, Ont., March 8, 2008.

The first session of the day focused on the topic "Aboriginal Women and Government." The panellists are Kathleen McHugh (chair of the Assembly of First Nations Women's Council), Jody Wilson (commissioner of the British Columbia Treaty Commission) and Kiera Ladner (Canada research chair in Indigenous Politics and Governance at the University of Manitoba).

After speaking, panellists field questions from audience members.
