The tenth national Metropolis Conference is held in Halifax, Nova Scotia, April 3–6, 2008. The theme of this year's conference is "Expanding the Debate: Multiple Perspectives on Immigration to Canada.”

This sixth and final plenary session takes place April 6th. The panel examines whether or not residential concentration of newcomers is a barrier to social integration.
