Public Institutions and Canada’s Future
This April 3rd session features a panel discussion entitled “Public Service Renewal: What Type of Public Service Will Canada Need?” York University’s Glendon School of Public and International Affairs hosts a conference entitled “Public Institutions and Canada’s Future,” Toronto, Ont., April 3–4, 2008. The conference explores the role of public institutions within Canada and the larger international community. The panellists are Mel Cappe (president of the Institute for Research on Public Policy), Joan Andrew (Ontario deputy minister of citizenship and immigration), André Dulude (assistant deputy minister for Policy, Partnerships and Corporate Affairs at Service Canada), and Ian Roberge (assistant professor in the Department of Political Science at Glendon College). After speaking, panellists field questions from conference attendees.
