Public Record - Canada and the E.U.: Prospects for a Closer Economic Partnership


The Public Policy Forum hosts a conference entitled “Canada and the E.U.: Prospects for a Closer Economic Partnership,” Ottawa, Ont., May 14–15, 2008.

The final conference session on May 15th, entitled “Where Do We Go from Here?,” features a panel discussion on strategies for establishing a successful economic relationship between Canada and the European Union. The panellists are Karel Lannoo (Center for European Policy Studies in Brussels (Belgium)), Paul Wells (Maclean's Magazine), Daniel Jouanneau (French ambassador to Canada). After speaking, panellists field questions from conference attendees. Marie-Lucie Morin, deputy minister of International Trade, moderates and makes closing remarks.
