Public Record - Canadian International Council Foreign Policy Conference 2008


The Canadian International Council holds their 2008 National Foreign Policy Conference, Toronto, Ont., June 19–20, 2008. The theme of this year’s conference is “After the 2008 United States Presidential Election: Opportunities for Canada?”

In the first panel discussion on June 20th, speakers discuss the importance of the Arctic and issues related to Arctic sovereignty. The panellists are Rob Huebert (University of Calgary), Suzanne Lalonde (University of Montreal), and Whitney Lackenbauer (Canadian historian).

After speaking, panellists field questions from conference attendees.
