Public Record - Cosmopolitan Identity in the Islamic World


The Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI) holds a conference entitled "Cosmopolitan Identity in the Islamic World: Global Citizenship and Social Change," Ottawa, Ont., June 25–26, 2008.

The topic of the first session on June 26th is "Canada and the Islamic World: Enhancing Understanding and Building Peace." Michael Bell (director, Jerusalem Old City Initiative), Ghassan Atiyyah (publisher, Iraqi File), and Paul Dewar (New Democratic Party MP for Ottawa Centre, Ont.) among others, present speeches on this topic.
