2008 Institut du Nouveau Monde Summer School (Part 2 of 3)
The Institut du Nouveau Monde holds the 5th edition of their summer school for youth, Quebec City, August 12–16, 2008. This conference brings together more than 1,000 youth from across Quebec and around the world. This August 14th session, entitled “Which territories for Aboriginal peoples?,” features Marie Mark (former chief of Pakuashipi), Pierrot Ross-Tremblay (member of the Essipit Innu nation), Denys Delâge (associate professor, Sociology Department, Laval University), and Alexis Wawanoloath (Parti Quebecois MNA for Abitibi-Est) discuss the current situation of Canada's First Nations. After speaking, panellists field questions from audience members.
