Public Record - 2008 CDFAI Annual Conference


At an annual conference hosted by the Canadian Defence and Foreign Affairs Institute, a panel of experts discuss foreign policy and defence issues, Ottawa, Ont., October 27, 2008.

This year, expert speakers from academia, the public service, and the corporate world will seek to shed light on current cross-border issues between Canada and the United States and develop amicable solutions for the challenges facing both nations.

The first session of the conference is entitled "North American Defence Issues" and features Philippe Lagassé (University of Ottawa), Pierre Leblanc (former commander, Task Force North) and Patrick Lennox (postdoctoral fellow, Centre for Military and Strategic Studies).

After speaking, panellists field questions from conference attendees.
