The Senate of Canada and the Canada–France Interparliamentary Association host the Canada–France Symposium, entitled “The Legacy of France in Canada Over 400 Years,” Ottawa, Ont., November 14–15, 2008. This event is being held in commemoration of the 400th anniversary of the founding of Quebec in 1608.
