Public Record - Canada–France Symposium (Part 4 of 6)


The Senate of Canada and the Canada–France Interparliamentary Association host the Canada–France Symposium, entitled “The Legacy of France in Canada Over 400 Years,” Ottawa, Ont., November 14–15, 2008. This event is being held in commemoration of the 400th anniversary of the founding of Quebec in 1608.

In this November 14th session, professors Didier Poton and François Souty (from the Université de la Rochelle (France)) present speeches on Canada–France trade relations between 1763 and 2008. After speaking, professors Poton and Souty answer questions from symposium attendees.
