The University of Ottawa hosts a panel discussion entitled "Histories of Slavery," Ottawa, Ont., March 2, 2009.

The panellists are Marie-Célie Agnant (novelist), Denyse Beaugrand-Champagne (historian and archivist), Karolyn Smardz-Frost (historian and author), Barrington Walker (historian, professor, and author) and Marlene Nourbese Philip (novelist, essayist, and poet). After speaking, the panellists field questions from audience members.
