McGill University hosts a conference entitled "Public Policy in Crisis? Understanding Policy Making in Canada," Montreal, Que., March 26–27, 2009.

This March 27th session features a panel discussion on the role of evidence in policy-making. The panellists are Ian Brodie (McGill Institute for the Study of Canada), Wendy Thomson (director of the School of Social Work, McGill University), Matthew Mendelsohn (a former deputy minister) and Joe Clark (professor of developing area studies, McGill University). After speaking, panellists field questions from conference attendees.
