French as a Language for Everything and Everyone?
The Institut du Nouveau Monde hosts a conference entitled "French as a Language for Everything and Everyone?,” Toronto, Ont., April 3–4, 2009. This April 4th session features a panel discussion on the relevance of speaking French in modern Quebec society. The panellists are Céline Saint-Pierre (Institut national de la recherche scientifique), Joseph Yvon Thériault (Université du Québec à Montréal), Marie-Claude Sarrazin (Borden Ladner Gervais), and Farouk Karim (Council of Quebec/Unite HERE). After speaking, the panellists field questions and comments from audience members.
