French as a Language for Everything and Everyone?
The Institut du Nouveau Monde hosts a conference entitled "French as a Language for Everything and Everyone?,” Toronto, Ont., April 3–4, 2009. This April 4th session features a panel discussion on how French relates to English and other languages in modern Quebec society. The panellists are Christian Dufour (École nationale d'administration publique), Christine Fréchette (Université de Montréal), Louis Balthazar (Université du Québec à Montréal), Mathieu Laberge (economist), and Ruba Ghazal (Environmental Consultant). After speaking, the panellists field questions and comments from audience members.
