Public Record - Implementation of Aboriginal Land Claims Agreements


The Land Claims Agreements Coalition hosts their third National Conference on the Implementation of Modern Aboriginal Land Claims Agreements, Ottawa, Ont., May 12–15, 2009. This year’s theme is "Claiming Our Future: Implementing Land Claims Agreements for Social and Economic Prosperity.” The conference brings together more than 200 Aboriginal leaders, members of the business community, policy makers, and academics.

This May 13th session includes Kevin McKay (co-chair, Land Claims Agreements Coalition), Paul Kaludjak (president, Nunavut Tunngavik Inc.), and Calvin Helin (president and CEO, Eagle Group of Companies). Pete Decontie, Sr., (elder, Algonquin Nation) makes opening remarks.
