The Canadian Social Forum
The Canadian Council on Social Development hosts a conference entitled “The Canadian Social Forum,” Calgary, Alta., May 19–22, 2009. This May 22nd session features a panel discussion entitled “The Poverty Challenge: Moving Forward.” The panellists are Hugh Segal (Conservative Senator), Françoise David (spokesperson, Québec solidaire), Alison Redford (Minister of Justice, Alberta), Priscilla Corcoran Mooney (Mayor, Branch, N.L..), Geraldine King (National Association of Friendship Centers), Michael Bach (Canadian Association for Community Living), Dean Allison (Conservative MP), Michael Savage (Liberal MP), and Tony Martin (NDP MP).
