The North-South Institute and the Friedrich Ebert Foundation host a panel discussion entitled "Conflict Transformation in Afghanistan and Pakistan: the role of Europe and Canada – help wanted?," Ottawa, Ont., June 3, 2009. The panellists are Janice Stein (University of Toronto), Ambassador Francesc Vendrell (Princeton University), and William J. Fallon (former commander, US CENTCOM). After speaking, panellists field questions from conference attendees, including Jack Harris (NDP MP). Almut Wieland-Karimi (Friedrich Ebert Foundation) moderates.
