2030 NORTH: A National Planning Conference – June 3, 2009 (Part 5 of 7)
The Canadian Arctic Resources Committee (CARC), Inuit Tapiriit Kanatami (ITK), and the University of Calgary's Centre for Military and Strategic Studies (CMSS) present the 2030 North conference, Ottawa, Ont., June 1–4, 2009. This national planning conference aims to assemble the best data and expertise about the North to create the first comprehensive picture of the Arctic twenty years from now and beyond. This June 3rd session features a panel discussion entitled “Canada’s North: A New Strategy.” The panellists are Franklyn Griffiths (University of Toronto), John Noble (retired Canadian diplomat), George Braden (Braden & Associates), Udloriak Hanson (senior policy liaison, Nunavut Tungavik Inc.), and James Lahey (Indian and Northern Affairs Canada).
