Public Record - 2009 Conference of the Canadian Federation of Municipalities (Part 4 of 4)


The Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM) holds its 72nd annual Conference and Municipal Expo, Whistler, B.C., June 5–8, 2009. The theme of this year’s conference is “Partnering for Success.” More than 1,700 elected municipal officials from across Canada participate in a range of workshops and seminars on pressing local challenges and priorities.

In this June 8th session, speeches are presented by Gord Steeves (past president, FCM), David Miller (the mayor of Toronto) and John Furlong (CEO, Vancouver Organizing Committee for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games). Ken Melamed (the mayor of Whistler) makes opening remarks.
