Public Record - Canada’s Digital Economy: Moving Forward


Minister of Industry Tony Clement hosts a one-day forum to identify the key areas of action necessary for Canada to regain its leadership position in the digital economy, Ottawa, Ont., June 22, 2009.

This session features a roundtable discussion entitled “Ensuring a Safer, Stronger Online Marketplace.” The panellists are Jennifer Stoddart (Privacy Commissioner of Canada), Michael Geist (Canada research chair in Internet and E-Commerce law, University of Ottawa), and Tim Wilson (head of VISA Canada). After speaking, panellists field questions from forum attendees. Tom Jenkins (executive chairman, OpenText Corporation) moderates.
