Canada’s Digital Economy: Moving Forward
Minister of Industry Tony Clement hosts a one-day forum to identify the key areas of action necessary for Canada to regain its leadership position in the digital economy, Ottawa, Ont., June 22, 2009. In the closing session, entitled “Moving Canada’s Digital Economy Forward,” forum participants outline the collective goals and priority areas for action that would form an agenda for Canada's digital economy. The participants are Andrew Sloss (country manager, eBay Canada), Bernard Courtois (president and CEO, Information Technology Association of Canada), Tom Jenkins (executive chairman, Open Text Corporation), and David Johnston (president, University of Waterloo). Later, Tony Clement (Minister of Industry) and James Moore (Minister of Canadian Heritage) make closing remarks.
