Public Record - 2009 Conference of the Couchiching Institute on Public Affairs – August 8


The first session on August 8th, entitled “Food Safety and Regulation: How Safe Is Safe Enough?,” features Ronald Doering (former president, Canada Food Inspection Agency), Rory McAlpine (vice-president, government and industry relations, Maple Leaf Foods), and Pat Mooney (executive director, ETC Group). Sara Sarkar (CIPA) moderates. After speaking, panellists take questions from conference attendees.

The Couchiching Institute on Public Affairs (CIPA) hosts its 78th annual Couchiching Conference, Orillia, Ont., August 6–9, 2009. This year’s conference is entitled “The Global Politics of Food.”
