Public Record - 2009 Conference of the Couchiching Institute on Public Affairs – August 8


During this August 8th, session, entitled “The Politics of Diet: How Can We Strike the Right Balance?,” a panel of food industry experts discuss the politics and ethics behind healthy eating. The panellists are Richard Ellis (senior vice-president, McDonald’s Canada), Debbie Field (executive director, Foodshare Inc.), and Galen Weston (executive chairman, Loblaw Companies Limited). Bob Ramsay (a communications consultant) moderates. After speaking, panellists take questions from conference attendees.

The Couchiching Institute on Public Affairs (CIPA) hosts its 78th annual Couchiching Conference, Orillia, Ont., August 6–9, 2009. This year’s conference is entitled “The Global Politics of Food.”
