Public Record - 2009 Conference of the Couchiching Institute on Public Affairs – August 9

During this August 9 session entitled "The Future of Food(s): What Will Our Children Eat?,” a panel of environmentalists, academics, and economic experts discuss the future of food and the ways to protect the most vulnerable sources of nourishment. The panellists are Ian Burton (environmentalist, University of Toronto), Emrul Hasan (Plan Canada), and Susan Walsh (executive director, USC Canada and Seeds of Survival).

The Couchiching Institute on Public Affairs (CIPA) hosts its 78th annual Couchiching Conference, Orillia, Ont., August 6–9, 2009. This year’s conference is entitled “The Global Politics of Food.”
