40 Years of Official Languages in Canada – September 9, 2009 (Part 1 of 6)
The Office of the Commissioner of Official Languages hosts a symposium entitled “40 Years of Official Languages in Canada: Our History and the Path Ahead,” Ottawa, Ont., September 9–10, 2009. This opening session features a panel discussion entitled “The Roles and Responsibilities of the Federal and Provincial Governments: Today and Tomorrow.” The panellists are Steven Blaney (Conservative MP), René Boudreau (Francophone Affairs Branch, Government of Saskatchewan), Guy Jourdain (French Language Services, Government of Manitoba), John Parisella (president, BCP Communications), and Benoit Pelletier (professor, University of Ottawa).
