The Office of the Commissioner of Official Languages hosts a symposium entitled “40 Years of Official Languages in Canada: Our History and the Path Ahead,” Ottawa, Ont., September 9–10, 2009.

This September 10th session, entitled “Globalization, the Economy and Canada’s Bilingual Future,” features Mel Cappe (Institute for Research on Public Policy), Linda Leith (author), and David Stewart Patterson (Canadian Council of Chief Executives). After speaking, panellists answer questions from audience members.
