Public Record - H1N1 Influenza: Issues, Responses, and Challenges of the Flu Pandemic


The University of Ottawa hosts an expert panel on the H1N1 influenza entitled “H1N1 Influenza: Issues, Responses, and Challenges of the Flu Pandemic,” Ottawa, Ont., September 17, 2007. Panellists examine the issues, responses, and challenges of the pandemic, as well as the question of whether or not Canada is adequately prepared to deal to it.

The panellists are Earl Brown (virologist and professor in the Faculty of Medicine's Department of Biochemistry, Microbiology, and Immunology, at the University of Ottawa), Anne McCarthy (associate professor of medicine at the University of Ottawa), Luc Bonneville (professor in the Department of Communications at the University of Ottawa), and Kumanan Wilson (associate professor in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Ottawa), among others. After speaking, panellists take questions from audience members.
