Public Record - Televised Election Debates in Canada

The Queen's Centre for the Study of Democracy hosts a conference entitled “Televised Election Debates in Canada: Reality TV or Useful Political Discourse?,” Kingston, Ont., September 25, 2009.

In the second session of the day, panellists examine the political perspective on televised election debates in Canada. The panellists are Elizabeth May (Green Party leader), John Mykytyshyn (founder, Conservative Leadership Foundation), Katie Telford (political strategist), and Robin Sears (senior communications advisor, Navigator). After speaking, panellists field questions from audience members.
