The New Africa
The Canadian Council on Africa hosts a conference on Africa–Canada relations, Ottawa, Ont., October 2, 2009. The conference theme is “The New Africa: Redrawing the Blueprint for the Canada–Africa Partnership.” During the third plenary session, entitled “Rethinking the Canada–Africa Partnership,” experts discuss the possible ends, ways, and means for a new Canada–Africa Partnership blueprint. The experts are Olayemi Akapo (Global Trust SARL), Carolyn Mackenzie (CPCS), Aristide Nononsi (McGill University), and Jean Bernard Robichaud (Association of Universities and Colleges of Canada). Lloyd Axworthy (University of Winnipeg) makes opening remarks. Jean-Louis Roy (Partenariat International) moderates the discussion.
